Indian Basin & Princess Campgroun: May 23

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012 at 8am

This event is in the past.

Join Tom Zimoski for a day of birding in this section of the Sequoia National Forest. Meet at the old Mervyn’s parking lot (southeast corner of Blackstone & Ashlan) at 8:00am.  The Fresno group will join others at the Forest Service office in Dunlap, expecting to get there between 9 and 9:15.  If you'd like to join the caravan somewhere between Mervyn's and Dunlap, please contact Tom.

The Indian Basin Grove Interpretive Trail, our first stop, is next to Princess campground and offers an accessible, paved ½ mile loop, and an additional ½ mile extension loop through the grove and meadow area.

We will probably have lunch somewhere near Grant Grove, and after lunch will visit the meadow on the east side of Sequoia Lake. We will need to pay  or show a pass to enter the National Park.
