The aims and functions of an SF fan-group were discussed before Mess.

A leaflet advertising the group was presented by Mr Lawson and approved
by Mess. Darroch and Whiteoak. It was agreed however that large-scale (sic)
advertising would be postponed until Glasgow's Faircon '79, although
word-of-mouth advertising should continue. On the arrival of Mr Home and
Sarah various convention progress reports were shown and SF fandom discussed

Librarian Ron agreed to distribute Faircon and FOF advertising thru the
library system. Ways of promoting the group at Faircon were discussed and
it was agreed to attempt to get personalised t-shirts made .

Faircon 2. Most of the discussion was about the impending convention
