The SOAS FoodCycle project started with Sally, Annina and Matt in October 2009 and along with some brilliant volunteers (some with cooking nous, some with enthusiasm for veg chopping) they started cooking great vegetarian meals with reclaimed food for people at the Simon Community, Kentish Town, in March 2010.
Since then the FoodCycle project at SOAS has grown and moved on! We want to make great meals and not waste perfectly good and nutritious food. We have fun cooking with one another and for other people that will appreciate a good meal. And ideally we'll eat what we've cooked with the people we are cooking for. If thousands of tons of wasted food gets your goat, if you love cooking, and helping your community then GET INVOLVED and join FoodCycle @ SOAS. You'll get a very free, very nutritious n' delicious meal out of it too!
