The EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) is a united response to challenges affecting an area which stretches from the Black Forest to the Black Sea, including over 100 million inhabitants. Many of the region’s problems know no borders: flooding, transport and energy links, environmental protection and challenges to security all demand a united approach. The 14 countries in the region, with the support of the European Commission, are cooperating to develop projects and actions that meet these challenges and build prosperity in the Danube region. The Young Citizens Danube Network (YCDN) is looking for enthusiastic young people (18-35 years old) to partake in the project “Rivers of Europe” (RIVE), and join in on a unique cultural boat-trip along the Danube, from Regensburg to the Black Sea. RIVE is run by a consortium of 8 European partners from the fields of arts and civic education.
The call is directed towards volunteers from the riparian Danube-countries and Poland, who will board a brand-new, customized vessel and sail along on a part of its journey together with various international artists.

The European Commission, the Republic of Austria and the City of Vienna are organising the 3rd Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, under the overall title "We grow together – together we grow", which will take place on 26/27 June in the Vienna City Hall. Read more
