How to Troubleshoot a Dell V305

This is a nice machine, yet it could be problematic for users. Sometimes a small technical glitch can give you pain while using your Dell V 305 printer.   • First, open the Start menu and click on Devices and Printers button
  • Then, click on Dell V305 icon and select the See What's Printing option
  • Now, right-click the document waiting to be printed and choose Resume, if it is there else close the window
  • After that, unplug the USB cable and power cable of the printer
  • Now, grab the bottom edge of the lid at the front side of the printer
  • And, lift it so the interior area of the printer can be seen clearly
  • Here, you need to search for any paper jammed
  • If yes, then hold the edge of the jammed sheet and firmly pull it toward you carefully
  • You need to repeat the process until all jammed papers get clear
  • Meanwhile, find the ink cartridge carrier inside your printer
  • And, press down the plastic lever above the first ink cartridge and repeat the process with the second cartridge
  • Also, pull both cartridges out and then set them back into the carrier properly
  • Here, set the plastic levers above the cartridges back into place
  • And then, close the printer's lid and plug the USB and power cable back
  • Now, you need to find the right arrow key on the panel
  • Here, tap the key until the printer's display reads Maintenance and press Select button
  • And, move down to Align Cartridges entry using the arrow key
  • Here, Select again to configure an alignment and take an alignment test page
  • Once done, restart your computer/laptop and start using it
