The Collin County Chapter of TAAO is offering its annual Gerald Kendrick Scholarship to graduating high school seniors. This year we are offering two $1,500 scholarships. Our organization consists of members active in the fields of property appraisal and taxation. Scholarships are awarded in memory of Gerald Kendrick, a charter member of our chapter and former Tax Assessor Collector for the City of McKinney.
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on grade average, career goals and evaluation of their personal statement. A minimum grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 point scale is required. Attendance at a University or Junior College in Texas is also required.
Applications must be received by March 15th in order to be considered. Feel free to make copies of the application for distribution to eligible students. Also, please note the section at the bottom that must be completed and signed by the counselor or registrar. If the application does not include the transcript and/or is not signed by the counselor or registrar, it will be considered ineligible. If submitted via email you may have your counselor/registrar email your transcripts to the below email address with your name in the subject.
