Carl Jung’s psychological type theory is a dynamic picture of personality. Isabel Briggs Myers decided to construct an instrument with four separate scales to allow people to quickly identify their Jungian psychological type, but she always intended the four letters as a starting point for exploring Jung’s dynamic theory of personality.
Myers believed that Jung’s theory was about how people use their perception and their judgment. This is the core, the anchor, as we explore this deeper level of understanding and using type.
