E-mail sent by Malcolm Oluwasanmi, Wednesday, 4th January 2012 @ 12:21pm

Any one interested in taking part in this ?

The Investment Society at the London School of Economics and Political Science is organizing a Student-Pitching Conference on Investment, for which we invite you to apply in teams of 1-3 to pitch a unique, proprietary investment idea in front of a panel of judges with extensive experience in investment management. This is a unique opportunity to pitch your investment idea to a panel of industry experts. Briefing: The competition will have two sections. You can choose to participate in either one of the two: 1. Teams will describe an investment idea or the history of a personally managed portfolio (either one which has been implemented or a new one) which will show how it is evaluated, priced and analyzed and how they came up with the idea. It can be a specific stock pitch or a general description of their portfolio allocation and how why they decided to pursue this particular strategy based on global macro and micro factors, quantifying their investment. 2. Teams will describe directions and forecasts of the global economy. They need to explain: how they came up with this idea, how it is supported by data/literature. Date: 26th February 2012 Venue: London School of Economics Please see the rules below: • Teams must consist of 1-3 students studying either part-time or full-time at their university. • Students may come from any degree level or background. • Previous experience in investment is not necessary. How to apply: Fill in the application form at http://investmentsociety.co.uk/?page_id=340 DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: 31st January 2012 (applications are reviewed on a rolling basis so early application is recommended). If your application is successful, you will be notified by 15th February 2012 at the latest. Short-listed teams will pitch their idea to the panel of judges on 26th February 2012. If you have any questions on any aspects of this event, please feel free to contact us at su.soc.investment@lse.ac.uk We look forward to receiving your application. Kind regards, LSE SU Investment Society www.investmentsociety.co.uk
