If you are interested in registering with Brighton £5ringe, please email us describing your event.
You will then receive an email, saying you have been made a group manager.
To activate your account, you must sign up as a member by clicking on the Join Group button on the home page.
Next click on ‘Create Event’ under the ‘Events’ menu of your management toolbar to enter your event listing.
Once there you will see the following headings:
The Basics
This section is fairly self-explanatory. Enter the dates and times of your event as and where instructed.
'Description' - enter a description of your event no longer than 50 words. You can customize the text using the editor toolbar, which allows you to add images, attach files, embed google maps and videos and format your text.
Still in the 'Description' box, leaving a line after your event description, write your box office details in this manner:
Bookings: ________@_____________ or 01273 ___________
If you are using a web ticket seller, such as ticketsource or wegotickets, simply paste in the link to your account with them.
Directly under the 'Description' box, there is a 'Browse...' button for uploading images. Please upload a suitable image for your event.
Additional Information
'Location' - enter the name of your venue, followed by its address in brackets. Eg. Upstairs at The Rock Inn (7 Rock Street, Kemptown, Brighton, BN2 1NF)
'Contact Details' - enter the name of your main contact for your event, followed by telephone number or email address (or both). This is optional, but would allow members of the press to contact you directly.
'Cost Information' - enter your ticket prices. For example:
£5 Full Price / £4 Concessions
(Remember, as a condition of registering your event with us, £5 is the most you can charge per ticket.)
'Website' - enter your event or company website address.

Options
'Event Capacity' – enter the capacity of the venue for your event multiplied by the number of performances. (In the case of The Rock Inn, for one performance it is 60 for the upstairs room and 30 for the basement.)
Leave the next five boxes blank, until...
'Contact Address' – enter your email if you want to receive RSVP's and confirmation emails.
Leave'Show the comments wall' ticked, but untick 'Show the guest list' and 'Allow guests to RSVP "maybe".'
'Use default setting' – leave this selected.
'Connect your Facebook account'
If you have a Facebook account, we strongly advise you take this option.
'Create an Event'
When you are confident your details are entered correctly, click on this button. Do not worry if you have made an error, because you can always edit yor details after you have published your event.
PUBLICITY
For all your print and publicity - flyers, posters, press releases - we request you use the Brighton £5ringe logo*. This is downloadable from here.
*Please note the pdf version of the logo is transparent, and suitable for use over an image or other background. The jpeg comes with its own white background.
