Firstly apologies for the lack of updates over the past 10 days. Unfortunately aside for an annoyingly busy time with my actual job I've also had some family matters which have taken up most of my spare time. However I'm back on the Bowline case now and I'm aware many of you are awaiting the relevation of The Chairmans walk for this year, this will be forthcoming tomorrow all being well, keep the date in your diary, Sunday 1st December.
Also I know a number of you have emailed me recently on a number of subjects including the annual dinner. Apologies for not responding, I will get back to you by the weekend!
Here's a quick run down of some news and updates for you:

The The Tower climbing centre is closed today due to 'unforeseen circumstances at the Leisure Centre'. Suggest those who still fancy getting a climbing fix in head down to Social Climbing for a boulder session.

We are starting to think about the meets list for next year. This one of the best jobs for the Meets Secretary as there is always so many great places to choose from. However the hard bit is knowing what people would like to do. So please can you all take a moment to send me some suggestions for meets you'd like to see happen in 2020 (and of course if you are prepared to organise one of your suggestions so much the better).

It's great to have a good turnout for our annual dinner and slideshow this year. We've got some interesting slideshow slots lined up but also plenty of time for eating, socialising and maybe a drink or two. If you are thinking this sounds good but you've not booked a place we can squeeze a few more people in provided you let me know ASAP!
Our Thursday climbing session's at The Tower climbing centre have been well attended over the past few weeks. It's great to see members of our climbing club keeping their game in over the winter months. I'm certainly working on getting more climbing sessions in over the winter so I'll be there most weeks, make sure you join us, 6:00pm onwards.
Next Wednesday we have our next committee meeting, 7:30pm at Pete Bottrills house. All club members are welcome to attend committee meetings. You can find the minutes of the last meeting in the Members Area of the website.
Remember to check the list below for details of upcoming meets and get them in your diary!

Firstly it's not to late to signup for the annual dinner. Big thanks to those that aleady have, and those that sent their apologies. However still plenty of you that said you're coming but you haven't booked your places yet. I need to confirm numbers so please book your places now, it's going to be great!
Also talking of events to signup to the BMC Winter Skills lectures are back for 2019. This year our nearest venue is Coventry. I know several club members have mentioned they are going so book your places now via the BMC event site.
Weather wasn't great at the club hut this weekend just gone however it's sure to be better for our 'Love the hut' weekend on the 23rd/24th November. We need a hut full of keen and willing volunteers. Remember you get FREE accommodation at the hut in return for spending Saturday or Sunday helping to work through the jobs that need doing. These meets are always good fun so book your hut place now.
Now the winters here our Thursday climbing will be at the Tower Climbing centre. We had some good turnouts recently so lets make Thursday night, Bowline night!
