The Austin Christian Friends Network is an informal, welcoming social group for Austin-area Christians of all denominations. Non-Christians who are looking to explore Christianity are also encouraged to participate. We plan to have regular social events including dinners, day trips and get-togethers. Once a month, we offer a monthly Christian networking group, where you can hand out business cards or just hang out and make new friends. We will look into exploring ways to share and appreciate the different aspects of our faith, with the common thread being our belief in Jesus Christ. We hope through this group to encourage interfaith friendship and cross-pollination…and have fun! The Christian Friends Network is sponsored by the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, located in north/central Austin.

Hello Everyone.
Apologies for not getting this group going over the summer. I have had some personal issues to deal with. I'm hoping to get some things started again in the fall.
In the meantime, if you would like to stay in touch, the group is moving from Meetup. (Meetup is not only expensive for organizers, but the new interface just isn't that great.)
Facebook is a great place to interact and Groupspaces also has a forums area if you would like to chat online with folks. Feel free to introduce yourselves in the new online homes and get to know each other.
I realize that having two homes may split the online group but some people just don't like Facebook and avoid it like the plague, while others live on it. So there are two options for you. :-)
I will be shutting down the Meetup group this weekend so you will need to sign up for either Facebook or Groupspaces to keep in touch.
