Ananda Marga Manchester runs weekly meditation and yoga classes around the University of Manchester campus and in Chorlton. We run the classes to share with people the ancient spiritual science of Yoga and Meditation (which is different from Buddhist meditation) that improves one's ability to enjoy life's richness and to serve our society in the way that seems most relevant. We also run socials - as fun is immensely important - run bi-annual retreats (sometimes more), run laughter yoga sessions and other things too.
Ananda Marga is a global organisation, and has various service projects all over the world (AMURT.org). Also of relevance here is the alternative socio-economic system called PROUT created by Ananda Marga's founder, P.R. Sarkar(progressive utilisation theory) - which is neither communist or capitalist. Ananda Marga has then both a spritual and social outlook, and attempts to balance these approaches wherever it works.
To add to the fun, all classes are run on a donation basis.
