What a wonderful concert Amici gave on Sunday. Our grateful thanks to Adrian and the choir for a fabulous afternoon. So many people have commented about the event, here are some examples:

'The Amici concert yesterday was terrific....and do hope you are pleased with the audience etc. Thank you for a delightful afternoon.

Canadian nephew Randal was very impressed, and as always it was lovely to meet neighbours and friends.'

'I was blown away by this afternoon concert.'

'I enjoyed all of it but particularly the Norwegian piece which was truly haunting'

'lovely, lovely afternoon concert, we are so pleased we came'.

Nail biting moments over ticket sales are a thing of the past and Eleanor and I
are thrilled with the result. We feel very lucky to have had you here in Harkstead Church and thank you so much

Very best wishes for the rest of your performances this year,

Amici Bristol Tour, June 2018:

About the concert in Clevedon Church on Saturday 9 June

I was hugely impressed by Amici and Adrian's conducting.......It was such a lovely varied,
challenging programme which made non-stop demands on the performers'
concentration and voices but they never flagged.

About the concert in Berkeley Church on Sunday 10th June

Thank you for a lovely evening on Sunday; there have been a lot of favourable comments about the concert during the last couple of days.

From the organisers of the concert at Snape Church on 13th May 2018:

In my 20 years association with the church this was the most successful evening event we have put on.

We are so grateful to you and the Choir for all the effort you have put in to provide such an excellent and varied evening’s entertainment. Everyone I have spoken to thoroughly enjoyed themselves and spoke of how professional the choir is. There has been more than one suggestion that Amici should be invited back next year!

It was a most delightful day and one I thoroughly enjoyed.  To you and all the choir members we are so grateful.

St Eutrope Church, Saintes, France, 7th July 2017

A remarkable vocal group, conducted by the hand of a master!
The precision of the sound, the harmonies produced by the choir and the acoustic in the Basilica of St Eutrope all contributed to the success of this concert.
From the very first notes I was transfixed by the sound echoing beneath these magical arches, captivated and spellbound throughout the performance. The “stereo effect” of dividing the choir into two halves, one near the altar and one at the back of the church, was a wonderful idea.
In every part there were really beautiful voices, perfectly controlled. The delicacy of the soprano voices raised the singing to the highest level.
But what can I say about the magical voice of Helen Hudson in her interpretation of Hymne a l’Amour?  Such emotion!
I was so glad to have been in the audience for this lovely event. Do carry on giving us such pleasure!
My thanks to you all for coming to see us, and for speaking to us in such elegant French .

St Mary's Church Burgate - June 2017

Dear Adrian,

Thank you so much for the wonderful concert you put on for us on Saturday 10th June in our Church in the village of Burgate. The singing was beautiful and brought a tear to many eyes, especially Ava Maria. Such a lovely variety of music and an evening which was enjoyed by us all.

Thank you all so much! Perhaps we can be cheeky ask you to pencil us in for a concert in December 2018?

Kind regards
Fee Robertson - Chair Friends of Burgate Church committee.

St Mary's Church, Woolpit - Sunday 15 May 2016

Dear Adrian is my pleasure to write to thank you and Amici for the splendid concert in St Mary's Woolpit last Sunday. All the music was greatly enjoyed by the audience and we all appreciated the variety of the differing styles of the pieces.

Clearly you have formed Amici from a group of gifted and talented people who perform to a very high standard and it was a joy and a privilege for us to listen to you sing in our lovely church

Amici - St Mary's Church Burgate Saturday 5 December

On behalf of the Friends of Burgate Church, I am writing to thank you and all the members of Amici for braving the high winds on Saturday evening, coming to Burgate and giving such a pleasurable and expressive performance. All the feedback I have had from the audience has been hugely positive.

Amici - Harkstead Church Saturday 9th May

Amici delighted the audience in Harkstead Church with their rich and varied programme, ranging from William Byrd’s Mass for Four Voices to Meade Minnigerode’s The Whiffenpoof Song.  It is difficult to single out a particular piece from a programme so skilfully put together but Donald Swann’s lyrical Slow Train lingers in the mind - a haunting nostalgic piece, mourning the passing of Britain’s many closed railway lines and stations that fell under the Beeching axe.
An ambitious programme, Amici with their director Adrian Knott, rose to the challenge and gave a magnificent performance.

Just a brief note to thank you and your colleagues very much for the wonderful concert you gave us at Potton Hall on Sunday. Everybody I spoke to thoroughly enjoyed it. You performed at a very high standard and your professionalism shone through."

Jenny A

Everyone I have spoken to was very enthusiastic and complimentary about the concert in Holy Trinity, Blythburgh on 19 April. The collection amounted to £340.05, so a really good result from that point of view too. Thank you, Amici, so much again, and hope you will be back before too long!
