Kids Kayaking & Ohio Wildlife Center Raptor Show June 30

DUE TO THE EXTREME HEAT THAT IS PREDICTED FOR SATURDAY, THE OHIO WILDLIFE CENTER WILL BE UNABLE TO BRING ITS RAPTORS (OWLS AND HAWKS).  BEING IN A SHOW STRESSES THE BIRDS.  IN COMBINATION WITH EXTREME HEAT, IT MIGHT HARM THE BIRDS.  WE INVITE GUESTS TO COME TO KAYAK ONLY FOR $10 PER PERSON.

THE RAPTOR SHOW HAS BEEN RE-SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST.


Youth from 8 to 15 years of age are invited to enjoy a kayaking and water safety lesson followed by an hour or so of kayaking.  The Ohio Wildlife Center is bringing live owls, hawks and more with lots of things to pass around and touch!  Games, learning stations and more will be available. 

Cost is $20 per youth.  TAASC encourages all groups to include youth with disabilities!  If they do not have kayaking experience or need special accommodation, please have them contact TAASC at info@taasc.org  to arrange for an assessment, special equipment or instruction.

Youth must be supervised at all times (on the water, also) by an adult in a 1:5 ratio or as needed for safety. 

Guests should bring a packed lunch.  Coolers are available to keep lunches cool. 

You will be given a time for kayaking between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM (you can request a time) and for the Ohio Wildlife Raptor Show.   You may eat lunch, do games and other activities before or after kayaking.
