Expeditions

Working on world record winning attempts, ultra endurance events and extreme expeditions in some of the most spectacular and exciting locations in the world can be the experience of a lifetime.

We’ve positioned therapists on extreme polar expeditions, the incredible Mt Blanc to Mte Sinto event, many Land's End to John o' Groats cycling expeditions and lots more. We say: the more extreme - the more it suits us!

Recent highlights include:
•         Mark Beaumont's Record Breaking Round-the-World Cycle
•         Andy McMenemy's World Record for 66 ultra marathons in 66 days
•         The Home Expedition: Running the Silk Road from Turkey to China via Iran

What is it like to break a world record?
Mark Beaumont entered the history books in 2008, breaking the Guinness World Record for circum-navigating the globe. 18,000 miles through 16 countries on a bicycle!  Athletes' Angels were involved from the start, organising Mark's medical, physio and sports massage, before, during and after his race around the globe.  Watch a great video of Fiona Lindsay, Founder of Athletes' Angels chatting to the BBC in Paris.

"Athletes’ Angels recruited me to work in the French Alps.  After developing my interest in ski physio there, I went on to work as the Lead Physio for the British Olympic Ski Team." Rebecca Joyce, 2009.
