Oxfam Trailwalker

  • Saturday, 21st September 2019 (all day)
  • Sunday, 22nd September 2019 (all day)

Location: South Downs & Brighton

After the heat wave of 2018, The Oxfam Trailwalk will this year be at the later month of September. Thoes who have worked at this event before will know how hot it can get on route along the South Downs!

One of the UK's premier endurance events, The Oxfam Trailwalker and one of my favourites on the Athletes' Angels calendar. Approximately 1500 participants will run or walk 100km along the South Downs Way finishing in Brighton. A hugely popular event which raises huge amounts of money for Oxfam and The Gurkha Foundation.

This is one of the biggest events of our season and we are looking for a huge team of therapists (35!! - Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists, Sports Therapists and Osteopaths) to work at various checkpoints along the course. You must be available to work between the Saturday afternoon and the Sunday afternoon and you will be informed of your shift approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. We are also able to offer work to students from Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy courses who will be supervised by a full qualified therapist.

There is always a great atmosphere at this event and you will be working right in the heart of each checkpoint.

  • Therapists will be paid between £100 and £125 depending on location and timing of shifts (Washington shifts on Saturday day time; Jack & Jill Windmill shifts overnight on Saturday night; Brighton Racecourse shifts from Saturday evening until Sunday afternoon - PHEW!!)
  • Students welcome! Supervision provided
  • Therapists must have their own massage tables

You do not need to be a member to work at this event but priority will be given to our memebrs. For membership info click here.
