Exec Committee

1st Sherborne (St Aldhelm's) Scout Group Executive Committee supports the Group through:

• maintaining the Group’s property and equipment

• raising funds and administering the Group’s finance

• ensuring the insurance of persons, property and equipment

• managing Group public occasions, and

• assisting with the recruitment of Leaders and other adult support.

Additional Group appointment: Hall Hirer/Caretaker

These are all voluntary appointments and with the exemption of the Scout Group Leaders need to be filled by parents on a regular basis. Additionally we always require new Leaders in all sections and would request that if anybody is interested in becoming a leader, then please contact the Group Scout Leader. Vacancies List.

Complaints or Issues

In accordance with the Scout Association's Policy, Organisation and Rules (PORs) in the first instance the Group would ideally like to resolve complaints or issues on an informal basis, and this can be done by speaking in confidence to either the Group Scout Leader or Chairman.

There is a formal complaint procedure that can be followed, if the informal process is unable to be resolved in a satisfactory manner. The link to the Scout Associations POR on this matter can be found here.
